Dance and Cheer Coach

Mackenzie moved to Orlando, Florida, from Kansas City, Missouri, for college but missed the connection to dance she had back home. Mackenzie’s dance background spans roughly 13 years, with experience in numerous styles. Starting at the age of four years old, Mackenzie took ballet classes, wanting to follow in her mom’s footsteps, who did ballet for 16 years of her life.

At 10 years old, Mackenzie decided her passion was competitive studio dance. Starting with a couple of acro and jazz classes, soon blossomed into nearly 20 hours at the studio a week, participating in a range of styles such as lyrical, contemporary, hip hop, ballet, tap, jazz, musical theater, as well as classes on dancers' mental health and technique training. Come freshman year of high school, Mackenzie made the Grain Valley High School dance team, which deepened her experience of hip hop and introduced precision jazz, pom, and kick. Her love for dance stems deep, and her love for teaching, deeper; her past experience has developed excellent leadership skills and a passion for teaching.
