Allan and Danay

Starz of Central Nebraska Owners

After years of moving from state to state and even country to country, Allan and Danay found something special in Kearney — a place that didn’t just feel like a stop along the way, but like home. It was here that they chose to put down roots and give their three teenagers the gift of finishing high school surrounded by a community that truly cares.

Since 2021, they have embraced Central Nebraska not just as residents, but as neighbors and friends. Grateful for the welcome they received, they felt called to give back in meaningful ways.

Bringing the Starz Program to Central Nebraska is one expression of that commitment. Allan and Danay believe deeply in nurturing the potential of local children — encouraging growth, character, and confidence in the next generation. To them, investing in Nebraska’s youth is more than a program; it’s a promise to the community they now proudly call home.

Reagan

Instructor

My name is Reagan Messersmith, and I am a junior at the University of Nebraska at Kearney studying psychobiology on the pre-physician assistant track. I have danced for over 10 years and have trained in tap, ballet, jazz, pom, hip hop, and many other styles. I have always had a passion for working with kids and staying active, especially through dance, cheer, and sports. I love helping children gain confidence, try new things, and have fun while learning. I am so excited to be part of the STARZ program and cannot wait to create a positive, encouraging, and energetic class environment for every child.

Liv

Instructor

My name is Liv Williby and I am a junior at UNK majoring in Secondary English Education! I cheered throughout junior high and high school and have been working with children for almost a decade through various volunteer opportunities and jobs. Exercise and after school programs are so beneficial for children in both social and physical development which is why I found myself drawn to the Starz Program's values. I can't wait to work with the kids and watch them grow during my time with them!
